Ownhammer 112 DVRB G65

Thanks Pima.

I got this from Kevin and found it helpful........

It is open but smokey, has a smooth and a slightly dark top end (as this is one of the older/vintage originals, not the re-issues), the tell tale G65 mid bump, and a nice low mid. The cab is very open, so it's not overly wooly or whompy or boxy, more of the speaker sound and less of the cabinet sound, so there is also nothing "weird" or jagged (comb filtering) and has great imaging. It is very clear, but again, a slightly 'rolled off' sound. That should pair well with the somewhat bright Twin derivative models and somewhat bright single coil pickups, but it won't overly fill up a hollow, shrill source with abundant cabinet resonance and would be something that, like all the IR's, is most left up to trial and error and personal preference. The intention here was to appeal to the D-style amp folks, but with something a little different than the D-style or Thiele cabs. A different, more open sound, but still smooth.
