Output leveling for presets

For 5 selected presets to use live and direct to FOH/stage monitors, what's the best way to get the output volume leveled across all your programmed presets?

By ear, dB meter, something else? Or, point me in the right direction...

Ear as close to performance volume, preferably with the band

Do it live with the band. If you have an MFC-101 you can use the Vol Inc/ Vol Dec trick to adjust volume on the fly and the best part is that it will save the patch at the volume you select.

Sound level app to get them close, then by EAR with a full band
