Output knob setting?

Where are you guys setting the Output knob on the front panel? I’ve sorta stayed around 10 o’clock.... but wondering what everyone else is doing.... and if you notice a difference.

No tone difference. Set it for whatever the next device needs.

I use a range of 9 o clock to 3 o clock as needed if I’m not in control of the mixer. I’ll set it all the way up if I am in control of the mixer, just for consistency.

I run mine always on 10 - leads into a monitor/headphone controller for actual volume control.

For FOH, whatever they want. For my monitor on a different out, between 12:00 and 3:00.

Level across presets for me is usually at -12db
Out 1 to FOH seems to be at 11 o’clock most times with enough headroom.
Out 2 to my monitors is set to taste (Matrix gt1000fx levels set to 12noon)

I’ve been lucky with 10 o’clock. Never been asked for more or less.

Guess it depends on how you set the other gain stages in your signal chain ... e.g. output level of amp block, gain setting on monitors. In electronic systems, optimum gain staging of components is a major consideration but I'm not sure what the ideal settings across all "gain controls" in our musical systems would be.
