One Cab to play AXE and AX-8

HI all

I have a AXE with Matrix GT1000 as well as an AX8 and 44 magnum power amp.

I have been trying to use a mixer to take the outputs from both power amps then allow me to select what I hear through the cab. I had both power amp outputs go to the inputs of a Mackie mixer then the output from the mixer go to the cab.

Am I missing something as its not working. Can the mixer only accept line input and not power amp output ?
Just trying to compare sounds without continually unplugging the cab speaker cable.

Yep, if you haven't fried anything already, you're a lucky man.

Power amp>speaker, always. Mixers, axe fx, etc. can not handle loads.
 
Try Axe-Fx and Ax8 into the mixer then the mixer output into the Matrix and cab. Don't connect the mixer post power amp!
