"On the FM3, amp modeling and reverb run on the same processor." - What does this mean?

The Fractal Wiki states "On the FM3, amp modeling and reverb run on the same processor."
What does that mean? What is the benefit of it running on the same CPU? I had asked this in the discussion of another thread, but I figured it may be better to clarify it as its own topic. I am looking forward to owning my first fractal product, so forgive my inexperience if this is obvious. Many seem surprised that amp modeling is taking up less than 2% of the processor, so shouldn't reverb be the same if the wiki is correct? The actual numbers people are reporting are 17-34%, which i believe is pretty similar to the AX8's reverb processing requirements.

^ sorry its not a link, it was getting tagged as spam with the https portion.

Before the FM3 began to ship, there was high demand for information about the FM3, its CPU requirements etc.

When pieces of information from official sources (FAS) were released, I added these to the wiki. That information was correct at the time.

Now that the FM3 and its Owner's Manual have been released, I've begun updating the wiki pages. Which is an enormous project and takes time (as Smittefar writes: my spare time). I'm updating the pages in alphabetical order (currently working on "C" pages). That's why there is (was) obsolete information on the "Reverb block" page.

No offense intended @yek
I thought it was an official FAS thing. Thanks for the heads up @Smittefar
Let me know if you'd like a copy of the [FM3 Blocks sorted by CPU] file for the Wiki.

Also, I have tons of spare time these days if you need assistance with some busywork.

Who's the Wiki maintenance crew around here???

Looks like you have a chip on your shoulder when it comes to Fractal, waiting to pounce if they do anything "wrong". May I suggest giving them the same grace as you just showed others? Fractal has earned the respect and loyalty of many, many users for a reason: They are the best in the business when it comes to customer care.

Is there a protocol in place as to what should go where?
Head to https://wiki.fractalaudio.com/ -- you can sign up for an account there. That's pretty much it. Look for an existing topic using the search function and consider augmenting existing content before adding new pages.

For example, there's a CPU usage per block section already here: https://wiki.fractalaudio.com/wiki/index.php?title=CPU_usage#CPU_usage_per_block_and_effect_type -- maybe add that chart to that section?

For formatting, it's all MediaWiki, so check out: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Editing_pages
