OLLO S4X or S5X vs Audeze LCD-2 or LCD-C

The entire audible range on the S5X is quite flat so the bass is not hyped, but it is extremely clear and accurate

Hi Buddy

You are spot on but it sounds a bit less intimate than 660'S comfortable but a lot heavier than 660'S

I only tried them for 20 mins but I find these are much better in the bass which was my main concern - its early not broken in but these are a keeper for the price - def step up - I have Realphones but no preset for S5X only the S4X - Ill look into that - its still fine but prob could be a bit better if they had one for it

Thanks all for the info appreciate it

All this Ollo talk made me order the newer X1. My gold standard is the HD650 - but it’s got a veil over it, not my first choice to create axe fx presets.
No vail on the 660's they are nice - You will def get a better sound with Ollo - what I have been noticing is the S5X is lot more critical more in your face compared to 660'S - 660's seem more open farther back and like being there to my ears

Ollo seems more in front of you - take a bit to get use to have to play with my realphones app to find something closer to 660's direction of sound

That said the bass is better doesnt break up and muddy as 660'S which is good otherwise I prob return them - I need to give them more time

I went from HD650 to Ollo S4X. No regrets at all. Ollo sounds much closer to my studio monitors.

You can load the correction curve that came with your Ollo S5X's into Realphones and make your own preset. There's a video in the "Backstage" section on Oslo's website that will walk you through it.

I'm not seeing this site you are referring to ?

I’m currently using DT 880 pro. I actually quite like them. Others say they are not optimal but after seeing your thoughts, the OLLO were too clinical. I can’t help but wonder if that wouldn’t be my experience as well.

Maybe I guess it comes down to an individuals preference so hard to tell someone these are awesome - I may be to use to 660'S

Ill say it again this Realphones 2.0 will bring any headphones to a whole new level - there correction files for most headphones are amazing

Loading the demo it will ask you to pick your headphone because you cant change it in demo - only if you buy it then theres tons but I just use what they provided - I couldnt believe how much my headphones sounded and all the great environments

Theres a demo here - try it you will thank me - I bought the full blown version - its the best software I ever bought - demo is 41 days wow

https://www.dsoniq.com/download

Prepare to be blown away

I bought it in 2 mins - I do use 3 chained headphone amps - when jamming sounds like I'm at a concert its crazy good

I use freeware FXSOUND for the eq and goodies in there also along side Realphones

Just do it you will be very happy

So you don’t plug into the headphone jack of the axe with your headphones? You run to headphone amps and run through an app somehow to do some corrections? I have used Mimi and used its outcome for my AirPods. That is about as close I have come to any kind of headphone correction. I will just tweak EQ or tone to taste normally.
