I would say start with a Marshall and a rat, that's his live rig, you may not ever get close the ADA that was used many years ago. But you may be able to get close to his live rig.
This is what I did. I have a nuno template with that combination.
He does but only for the effects.Wasn't Nuno using some crappy Boss GT multi-fx in front of whatever
amp he was using for a long time??
I may be wrong but the last time I saw him he was still using his old Randall signature amps. Not sure if it's worthy of modeling because his "sound" and tone from from his playing. He does but only for the effects.
His tone comes from his hands, N4, marshall, pro co rat distortion, and his boss pedal board. He keeps it simple.
He normally uses a Marshall JCM 2000 live.
Unfortunately fractal doesn't model the JCM 2000 but one of the Marshall's should work and get you close.
But I think all four are essential to nailing his tone.
I have one of the Sig amps and you would be amazed on how it sounds with a rack mount BBE 462 hooked up to it.That Randall Sig amp was the darkest/mushiest tube amp I have ever owned.
Guitar Center was blowing them out for like $699 for the head many years ago.
I ended up taking it back. Maybe I should have put a Rat in front of it.
Start with the A/DA MP-1
Leon Todd @2112 did a Tonematch of his:
