I was messing with the controller "block" on axe edit and thought that maybe this would do something but i'm not hearing a difference.

this is the sequencer. you'll need to attach it to a parameter to hear its effect. you might want to watch this video - it's pretty old now, but quite informative and hopefully it'll clue you in. the sequencer is covered, along with the other modifiers that are available...

ps - this was made before the sequencer had a little update that changed the individual steps from knobs to sliders, but you'll get the idea.
