Not able to send IR to axe-fx anymore

Hi, just bought some ownhammers but I'm not able to send them to the axe-fx

I have tried Bome SendSx and Axe-Fx IR converter.

A couple of months I tried with RedWirez with no problem... Maybe I'm not following the steps.

I have the axe-fx in the user slot I want but when click send, the programs say they are sending and finish but it seems the axe is not receiving the info?

Could it be a sysex id conflict? Try it with Axe-Edit which fixes the sysex id automatically, or check with a hex editor to see what the sysex id is in the files.

Looking at a recent Ownhammer file I see: F0 00 00 7D as the first four bytes.

If you are at firmware 10.02 or later, that needs to be F0 00 01 74.

thanks man.. that was it! I must keep these values

Axe-edit is not working for me haven't had the time to understand why

FWIW, I'm looking into this at current to update the files for anyone who may be using alternate methods to Axe-Edit to transfer them. Thanks very much to LMO for the info!

Thanks for this tip, and other suggestions on this thread. I was going nuts as to why my recent Redwirez weren't taking, while my OwnHammer was. Turns out it was the SysEx header, as described here. I had no idea that was in play.

AlbertA's modified editor works great here.
