Not a Les Paul fan but....

Awesome, that Les Paul costs as much as my house. I think I'd just buy a used LP Historic for 1/100th the price and be happy.

So, a beat up black beauty used by a "major artist" goes for almost a quarter million? The things people with too much money choose to spend it on. :roll

Perhaps it was owned by the "major artist" Andy Warhol and has one of his rare paintings on the back...!!! :)

Looks like it had some work done to the headstock, really rough job on the repair, my guess is that it fell forward and snapped at the headstock (very common for a Les Paul). There are no pictures of the back of the headstock area going into the neck, which if there was any damage would be fairly easy to spot if the repair was anything like the front.
