No Sound ?

I don't get Axe-Fx sound from my computer but I get other sounds.

When I play, I get input lights. I can hear from headphones plugged into PHONES jack on Axe-Fx face.

Guitar --> Axe-Fx II --> --(USB)--> iMac.

System Settings > Input: When I play, I see level.
System Settings > Output: I tried each Scarlett and Internal Speakers. Both play system audio (YouTube, etc) and I can hear it. Neither play sounds coming in from Axe-Fx.

How can I monitor Axe-Fx sounds?

Workaround: Turn on SPDIF connection for Monitor Outputs 1-2.

I also tried XLR output from Axe-Fx into input one, using an XLR-TRS cable. But no signal went into the Scarlett, probably for the unknown reason that there was no output from Output 1 of the Axe-Fx (cable is good).

Any USB interface requires you to plug your speakers into that interface. Axe USB to computer means you’re using the axe as a USB interface. That means you plug your speakers into the axe which is the interface. That’s why the headphones worked.

As suggested before, simplify your setup by not using the Focusrite. Plug your monitors into the Axe. Just use the Axe to record.
