NGD - expanding the arsenal back to analog...

I have had a Port City cab for a few years (used with AxeFx via fx loop powered with a Matrix GT), and a few months ago got a H&K Grandmeister, which I've been loving. For a long time I've wanted to have an amp iso room (inspired by Pete Thorn, Tim Pierce) so I started that process a while back and I'm finally getting a good ribbon mic (Royer 122 MkII) to go along with my SM57. I also ordered a 65 amps blue 1x12 with celestion alnico gold to permanently place in the iso room. My Port City OS 212 will stay in my control room for the pants blowback.

Still primarily using the AxeFx for practice (and recording, I love the spdif dry signal option, it's critical), but I love having the other options. When I'm attempting my poor facsimile of EVH, it's a blast to have the AxeFx coming out of my monitors combined with the H&K through the Port City. I absolutely love my AxeFx and can't see a day I wouldn't use it, but for the most part my normal tone choices are pretty simple. I tend to utilize it's power more when recording than in day to day practice/jamming. I love the wet/dry option of two rigs, I tend to use the AxeFx for the more distorted sounds and the H&K for a cleaner tone that gives a lovely clarity underneath when I combine the two.

No one can argue the "amp in the room" effect. I still keep a Marshal 1960A cab and a Line6 HD100 head in my studio just so I can part my beard with soundwaves from time to time. Feels good.

I haven't gone the FRFR route yet, but at some point will get a Matrix amp and a couple of Atomic cabs, but for now the old tried and true 4x12 with 100 watts behind it will suffice.

An old friend from a band 25+ years ago swears by his HK, and his live tone melts faces. He had an AxeFX at one time, but decided it wasn't for him. No harm, no foul. He found his tone and rocks it.
