I'd have to check when I get back to the studio, but usually I use a 57 in the F7 or F8 range and a TC30 in the F or WF5 range.

I generally dislike 8 string recordings because of the lack of definition, but this is incredibly well done. You can really hear whats going on. Excellent clip, thanks for sharing!

interesting thing.... the bass is tuned to standard E and it happens to have a nice sweet spot in there tonally. I was going to attempt to tune down but it proved too much for the 5 string I have. I actually think the standard tuning works awesome in this

Your tone with the 8-stringer sounds interesting, very 'snappy'. If it were my, I'd add more depth to the 2nd guitar with more wash of reverb (à la Cloudkicker) but that's me.

All in all, cool tone!
