New User HX Effects Midi Help

Help, I've been trying for hours and getting nowhere.

I have my fm9 hooked up to my line 6 hx effects via midi.

I am trying to have the preset change on my hx when I change the preset on the fm9

I have a midi block set on the fm9 to send a pc number to the hx. The problem is It loads a seemingly random preset on the hx, until I change to another scene within the preset of the fm9 and then it loads the correct preset on the hx.

Why is it initially loading the wrong preset when I obviously have the correct PC number as it changes to the correct preset when I change scene and the change back to the initial scene that loaded with the fm9 preset!?

Hope that makes sense and I get a quick solution.

Do you have Send Midi PC on or off (global settings)?

If it's on then every time you change presets on the FM9 it will send the same PC via midi.

If you're also sending a PC with the Scene Midi block they're going to be "fighting".
 
Yeah that was the problem, i thought you had to have that turned on for it to send any PC messages.

How do you choose what PC message gets sent as default?

It sends the same preset number as what you're changing to on the FM9.

So if you change to preset 009 it will send 009 (also depending on the global PC Offset setting)
