New to this. Exact cables needed in 4CM

So, this gets confusing. I want to use the FX8 in stereo with an EVH amp. Besides the cable from guitar to Fx8, do the rest of the cables used need to be TRS to TS? If I had a snake built to use it in stereo I could have 4 cables with all TRS on one side (FX8) and TS on the other side (AMP)?

4th one would be to go from second out to separate power amp

The outputs from the FX8 to the amp are recommended to be humbusters. So guitar to FX8 input is normal TS, FX8 output to amp input is humbuster. Amp send is normal TS. Return to amp is humbuster. in your setup the separate power amp would also be humbuster.

They don't have to be Humbuster cables. Plain old guitar cables will work.

There can be. Humbusters are recommended for the outputs of the FX8. Your guitar going in to the unit and the effects send from the amp don't need humbusters, but the outputs are recommended.

Humbuster cables reduce noise associated with ground loops. If you don't have ground loop issues, they won't make a difference.

I didn't use them for first 4 months and had no issues. Then i built a snake for amps with snake cable from redco. Very neat and totally quiet. Love my fx8. Use it stereo hot rod deluxe.
