New Online Automated Mastering Service

Well, i tried this thing and the result is bad for me, always the same filter are applied on every file, so it can only be bad... Mediums are removed, bass and trebles enhanced, a bit of main limiter, that's all...

I'm always hesitant to master my own work, but have no problem mastering others. Words cannot express how dubious I find this service... How can it provide remedial EQ, or context sensitive processing? I wasn't aware it was 192 kpbs output (for the free service, it must be noted) which is totally sub master standard. I was just fishing to see if anybody else had any feedback. :)

I saw this a while back and skimmed through the manual. It's not online, but it's a donationware based downloadable app. You can at least try it out for free if I understand it correctly.

AAMS

What intrigued me is that you can supposedly pick a song or style that you want to mimic and it analyzes you audio file and applies all the mastering stuff to make it sound similar. Once again I haven't tried it or even gotten around to installing it, but the description and concept appear sound to me. I mean I am learning how to do this stuff right now and I have come to realize that I'm an absolute infant when it comes to mixing; mastering is something that I'm not even ready to start considering at this point. I mean not in a serious manner.

Any thoughts or experiences? I'm curious.

Here is better one: MixMaximizer.com

I have uploaded the same mix to both (MixMaximizer.com and LANDR) services. After that I made the results equal in RMS to the original file, for the purpose of finding which one sounds better.

Listen and estimate. For me it wasn't hard to decide.

Original mix: http://bit.ly/s1-orig
LANDR's result (RMS=original mix): http://bit.ly/lndr-rmsed
MixMaximizer's result (RMS=original mix): http://bit.ly/mm-rmsed

LANDR's original result: http://bit.ly/landr-orig
MixMaximizer's original result: http://bit.ly/mm-or

MixMaximizer seems more true to the original.

I think it's the lack of control that would bother me, the lack of hands on input into the final sound. It seems to be that with these services that what you hear is what you get, take it or leave it.
