New Johnny A CD

IMHO, one of the most unappreciated guitar talents in the world ... Been listening to Johnny A for years (and in turn, trying to incorporate a little bit of both his myriad styles and his singular tone into my original compositions). Caught an interview with Johnny A discussing his many influences, as well as active guitarists he listens to now. I wasn't at all surprised to hear him say that he really appreciates the "shredders" of the world; the technical skill and talent to just constantly rip it ... "That's just not me," he stated. He'd rather listen to a great song with solid structure, parts and a perfectly placed solo than a virtuoso running scales at the speed of light. Sage words of wisdom to my ears.

+1 on diggin Johnny A. Long time fan. Very much underappreciated player. Went to Guitarlington last weekend and almost bought a Johnny A Gibby. Great guitar. The dealer just wanted a bit too much for it. Would love to add a Johnny A to my collection.
