Got 2 new additions to the family this week.
This one came in yesterday. 2015 Made in Mexico Wolfgang Stealth Special. Really pleased with this one. The made in Mexico’s can be hit or miss sometimes but this one is fantastic.

Those look awesome! I actually just pulled the eBay trigger on a Mexico Ivory WG Special. Do all of the Mexico WG Specials have the carved top? (It's tough to tell on the photos of the Stealth :) ).

I had the Japanese made quilt too exactly the same as the one you’ve got. It was a fantastic playing and sounding guitar, unfortunately I had too many guitars.

Yes. The MIJ's have the birdseye maple fretboards, but all MIM specials have the carved top. The only thing I struggle with on my Wolfgang is the narrow neck. The high E string slips off the fret sometimes.

I’ve sold 4 guitars in the last few weeks that I never play to fund and make room for these. I will definitely be playing these 2.
I sold off a few that weren't getting played as well, but more for the financial end of things with times being what they are. And I actually do have a guitar coming in tomorrow, one of the Jackson Mick Thomson SL2 Pro's curious to see how the Indo guitars are if it will stay.

Is the fretboard on the maple-necked one scalloped? That one photo from the side makes it look so...
Probably just the rolled fretboard edge to make it feel more broken in, Pretty much all of my USA guitars have it and Im fairly sure they do it on the imports as well

Yes, all the made in Mexico's have the carved top.
I have a 2020 made in Mexico Ivory Special as well. It's a great guitar but it needed a shim under the locking nut, neck adjustment and a good setup.

Love the quilt top one with the Birdseye neck. Beautiful guitar!

I built a copy of George Lynch's "Purple Tiger" and used Birdseye maple fret board & neck. I scalloped the neck from the 10th fret up... built that one back in 1989... still have it too. Love the neck.
