Hi! I recently purchased an AX8 on Reverb and went to download AX8-Edit. I received the following message when I tried to launch the program.

“AX8-Edit” can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software.

It refers me to contact Fractal. Has anyone else experienced this? I read in another thread that that AX8-Edit would be compatible with macOS Catalina.

Would appreciate any insight offered.
 
Use the Finder to go directly to the application, then OPEN it from there. You only have to do this once, the system will remember that you approved it. Apple's security updates are good, but they block software from anyone who doesn't use their signing protocol. It happens to me all the time.
 
Thank you!! It kept blocking until I had to go in system preference and authorize it under Security & Privacy.

And now the fun begins!
