NEVER MIND - variax guitars-Strat type-Some questions please

EDIT: So I put nevermind in the title because I found my answer, the one that really matters. Latency..................

So, is anyone familiar with these?
Specifically the neck, playability, build quality and any latency?
Just thinking of checking one out but they all are on line in my area. So....????
I noticed some posts about them with NO responses... Thanks

They are poorly supported with parts by Line 6 and this matters when the main controls are exclusive..
This is before you realise that it is a mediocre guitar with mediocre tone.

I had a Variax bass years ago. The sounds were passable for home demos, but the instrument itself wasn't inspiring.

Same goes for my Jamstik Studio MIDI Guitar. It's not the instrument I'd reach for when it comes to playability or tone. However, the MIDI tracking is really good IMO.

Don't start me on Line6 disappointments..... let's just say as an owner of a JTV Variax gathering dust in the corner I think a better and more reliable route would be to fit a hex pickup or under saddle type system to an existing guitar you already play and use a suitable outboard processor device to do most of what the variax does.
