Need to pick your brains about FX

Good afternoon everybody. I'm new to the forum and researching multi-fx gear. I've read about and heard many great things regarding Fractal. I'm on the fence about the Axe FX II at the moment, mainly due to cost. It's taken me quite some time to save for and purchase the gear I have and I'm not sure I'll utilize or need everything the Axe FX II has to offer. Strictly in terms of effects (no amp modeling) how comparable are the effects offered in the FX8 against those in the Axe FX II?

Any help would be appreciated.
