Need help to fill in the blanks

I would like to run two guitar heads into the same cab. I would need a device that will duplicate my guitar signal and one that will combine the speaker cables. I have attached a schematic. Is this possible? What 2 devices would accomplish this with as little signal loss as possible?

Device 1 could be a simple Y splitter.

Assuming you want to run both heads simultaneously....

Device 2 must safely load down both amps, then mix the signals and drive the cab.

If the cab has multiple speakers wired separately you could drive them individually straight from the amps of course (a la Bonamassa), without any added hardware.

But it sounds kind of like you might want to blend the two, in which case I'd do something like a Palmer dual load box into a cheap mixer then run the blended signal through an amp of your choice. This would give the added benefit of a convenient place to put post effects.

Yeah, I would like to run them simultaneously. I think I will, at some point, just get the axe fx and be done with it.
