Need advice on using 2 midi pedals together

I want to use my Ground control pro to access 4 presets with 8 IA's . I also have a Ground control(basic one) that I want to use for 8 more IA's . Would someone be kind enough to explain how to use these at the same time? Can I just run the midi out of the GC to the midi in on the GCP and then midi out of the GCP to the AXE ?

Ok Ill say it to myself RTFM!!!! . Midi merge set each controller to different midi channels set axe to omni
