Hi again everybody!
With all the talk about the Mesa Boogie Mark II C+ amps recently I decided to dive in and try to make some great sounding metal/rock presets.
I made some really cool ones.
Some notable tweaks I did were changing the Tonestack to USA Rhythm.
That tweak really helped to tighten things up.
Then Cliff made that awesome posts with tips on how to tweak that amp so I made some minor changes according to his tips.
This clip has some heavy rhythm sounds going on roughly inspired by bands like Metallica, Lamb of God and DT.
The clean sounds under the solo were also done with the MKIIC+ Dp model just as the rhythms.
All these basic tones as well as the leads were done with my ESP Eclipse-I.
The solo's were done with my LTD KH-602.
That guitar sounds very sweet with that lead preset.
Keep in mind that for the leads and cleans all the reverb was done with reverb and delay plugins in my daw.
If you are going to use a different guitar with these presets you probably need to tweak the gain a little and maybe the EQ.
OH is coming with something very cool soon...
A new very unique and aggressive sounding Mesa Boogie 4x12 cabinet that will be featured in the 'Heavy Hitters Collection' bundle.
More about that bundle soon but it will feature some great cabs!
I thought this Mesa cab matched this amp just perfectly.
Keep your eyes open for some cool OH stuff coming soon.
I really really hope you guys enjoy this clip as well as the presets (they are XL+ presets btw).
Let me know what you think!
