My never-ending homage to Black Sabbath...

So... what was supposed to be a 12 minute medley consisting of a my fave Black Sabbath riffs, ended up being 38 minutes instead. It was never ending, discovering another riff, then another+++
I ended up with 3 medleys in "the end", thought I`d share Part 1 with you folks.... :)

I chose to focus on the classic Ozzy albums for now, but I`m sure I`ll revisit Sabbath at some point later for some Ronnie James Dio/Tony Martin era covers ( 2 -3 medleys more?, bah gawd! )

Besides using my trusty Gibson Flying V, GoPro, Axe-Fx 2,+++ I used this very pick I got from Tony Iommi at a Sabbath gig in Oslo `98... which I guess is a bit kewl :cool:

Sounded great! Really liked the Children of the Grave riff. The combination of the drums and guitar make it one of the best tunes they put out.

On a side note.....anyone have the very beginning delay part on Fairies figured out. I was trying multi-delay and getting somewhat there but not as good as I want. I know its fairly brief but ......

Edit to add.....nice guitar also.....lol

Well, its pretty basic really. For crunch I use the USA IIC+ amp together with a 10 band EQ, and a little touch of reverb in the end. For leads I use the same amp, but with a different EQ setting and a reverb/delay option.
 
Finished with Part 2! Probably my favorite among these medleys due to the tunes from "Sabotage"... can`t get enough of "Hole In The Sky"! :cool:

Seriously, these are great. This coming from someone who showed up to first day of kindergarten wearing a Black Sabbath Masters of Reality T-Shirt that I conned my sister into making for me.

Yeeep, Db... or C# if you prefer to call it that. About the tone, there is not that much to show really, it`s the USA IIC+ amp with a graphic 10 band EQ and a tad of reverb. It`s worth mentioning though, that I`m STILL working on a Axe-Fx with waaaaayy dated firmware (my world is still at 11.5!? :eek: ). Got a couple more projects to finish before I upgrade my whole system.
 
Here it is, the full medley consisting of 32 songs! Was a TON of work recording/filming all of this stuff, took aprox 4 months to complete.
I`m pretty happy with the result, hope anybody out there can get any enjoyment out of this one too (even though its 38 minutes long!)...
