My band SCORTUM is about to the bass guitar

I would like to get the touch of the bass patches and which one to use. We really like the bass sound on tool's- and cynic's album

He is fingerpicking so there is no natural "grid" in the bass sound. I don't know if that makes sense.

I'm interested in this too. My bass player is getting an axe ii soon as well. Its gonna be killer. We will then have 3 axefx units live. No more amps.
