I wouldn't be surprised since the II has been spotted in some studio pictures on their site, by me and others in this forum. I'm wondering if they perhaps took the (robotic/vocoder) vocal thru it as well...

Yes, I can confirm this. I've spent some time on the phone with members of the Muse organization during the creation of some very intricate Axe-Fx II presets. We also provided them with a unit for their Saturday Night Live performance.

(i am not officially to do with muse) the axe isnt needed for this song although you can use it.
if you listen the main parts are pitchshifting and the kaoss pad
