Mraz...Vocal talent

He has a nice light tenor voice, good control and - shocker - no live auto tune.

Mraz is a needed a talent who has been lost in the noise, and he’s been short on strong songs. That said, Im guessing he’s probably a lot bigger outside the US.
 
Yeah, I think he gets lost because he is one songwriter who is relentlessly positive. People tend to gravitate to more 'edgy' work with bits and pieces of lightness.

Might disagree that he doesn't have strong songs. He does have a couple of Grammy's. His career has been pretty solid (if not spectacular) for 18 years, so he's doing something right.
 
I've been a fan for about 10 years or so. He is great... His music can cover a lot of stylistic ground, too.

One of his albums is covered in great horn parts like Tower of Power.

His wordplay, lyrics, guitar playing and singing are all very solid.
