Movie Review: Tenet

That same relativity idea formed the basis of one of the story arcs in Dan Simmons Hyperion, which is an excellent SF novel and would probably make a great TV series.

I really liked Edge Of Tomorrow.

A more cerebral, low-key time-travel movie with an indie vibe is Primer. I've watched it 2-3 times now and still don't quite know exactly what's going on, but it's still very enjoyable nevertheless. Highly recommended.

“12 Monkeys” owes an acknowledged debt to “La Jette” and though a movie comprised almost completely of stills would seem an unlikely candidate, it’s both memorable and thought provoking. The Wikipedia entry says William Gibson considers the film one of his main influences. It’s 28 minutes long, shot in black and white, and can be watched on YouTube.

One of my personal Gilliam favourites is “Time Bandits”. How can you fault a movie that features Sean Connery, members of Monty Python, and David Warner as the personification of Evil.
