I’d love to hear some Iommi (LOVE his tone but can’t seem to recreate an exact Iommi sound)
Same thing with Angus and Malcolm... I get close, but then it’s just not right.
Same thing with Billy Duffy (Firewoman in particular)...
Thanks for the effort!!!
OP has gotten quite shy since starting this thread
Can’t wait to hear and try all these tones out (especially that early Iommi magic). Thanks for sharing these (soon)There's no Laney Supergroup 100 but I looked up the circuit board and some info on the amp and it's very SuperLead-esque... I think what I've dialed up is a good representation of Tony's tones around Sabbath Bloody Sabbath (1973-74 ish). Will share soon...
Nuno... Cool... I love Get the Funk Out... I've read Nuno was using ADA MP1's for a while... Leon Todd put together an awesome tone match I believe. I know Nuno LOVES his old original ProCo Rat. I'll work on it. Thanks for the Nuno cabs!
I'll get a couple of different Lifeson ones... most recently I was getting the flanger dialed in for Spirit of the Radio!!! Sounds good.
And Scorpions... For sure... Michael Schenker and Rudolf's tones are fairly similar in many ways.
Oh, I dig for sure It came through real nice into the FM3... Sounds awesome! I added a little proximity into the cab block to wake up the speakers a bit to my ears and have been jamming on Hand of Doom and War Pigs for a while and loving it. Playing it through 2 Friedman AS12s. Looking forward to getting it really loud later onHere's my Tony Iommi patch... Hope ya dig. Will be sharing more soon

Thanks again! This is a really great share!
The only thing I can't seem to dial in is Dimebag's thick chorus modulated lead tone. Whatever witchcraft settings he used with his gear is hard to replicate. No problem getting anything else though!
Nuno's tones on Pornograffitti are some of my fav of that era...but the iso'd tracks made me realize it was the mix that was killer, not that tone.
That is very true. I'm ALWAYS surprised when I hear isolated tracks how they don't sound ... that great. It is how they mix.
I wonder if there is something there. Often we are attempting to tone match, or IR a cab.
But it seems there needs to be a "mix IR" or something.
I'm mainly referring to the effects side of things. The crazy eq is easier to dial in, but getting that super thick n wet lead tone is tough to nailHis tone came from the furman pq3

I am having trouble dialing in three Dean DeLeo (Stone Temple Pilots) I need.
