Most desired tones that you don't already have?

Yup I still haven't created something I'm happy with for Lifeson for both Grace Under Pressure and Power Windows.
I just picked up an Axe Fx III yesterday, and soon as I can figure out how to tone match my GK ML250 amp, I'll send it your way. He used that amp quite a bit in those days, and Adrian Smith also used it for the Somewhere in Time and Seventh Son albums.

Nuno's tones on Pornograffitti are some of my fav of that era...but the iso'd tracks made me realize it was the mix that was killer, not that tone.
Man I would love to get my hands on some iso tracks from Nuno and try to tone match it. His tone in the context of the mix was incredible!

I know this might sound odd, but I would love to get Brent Mason's clean tele tone on the old Brooks and Dunn, Alan Jackson, Joe Diffie albums. There is something really unique and fat about that tone.

Obviously I am looking for Frank Zappa Tones:
1. Clean (Any kind of pain, guitar solo starts at 2:30)

2. Dirty with Faser ( Yo Mama, guitar solo starts at 2:00)

3. Cocked Wah (Po yama people, guitar solo starts at 2:23)

For the Clean Tone a Strat with Neck and Middle Pickup position seems to be the starting point. For Yo Mama I think he used a Gibson Guitar. For the Cocked Wah tone I have helped myself with a great preset by Burgs which is called Boston Calling where the Cocked Wah Effect comes from the right EQ settings which seems to be a great way to reach that sound.

But I remember this one the most because of the 80's area

Hi Rick
Man that’s pretty cool I have always been a fan of Frank Zappa and really love his music. I’m sure meeting Both of them had to be pretty cool for you back then. I never had the the pleasure of seeing him in concert back in the day but we listened to his music a lot. :)

I haven’t looked very hard yet but I want the definitive ZW No More Tears tone. It’s always been one of my favorites.

Give this a go... Hopefully ya dig... I watched Zakk's rig rundown and based my pedal/amp selections of that... of course a lot is going to be in the fingers. The phaser and flanger are there if you want em, but the chorus to my ears is essential to Zakk's live tone (in the studio he said the chorusing is often the effect of the multitracking). Cheers and thanks for your patience. I've been busy.

Ty Tabor, early King's X tones.

Nuno Bettencourt, Extreme tones.

Really interested in the Alex Lifeson tones.

Maybe Guthrie tones off his work on Steven Wilson albums.

Would love for you to share presets. I'd be willing to buy them. PM me if that might be an option.

Hey man... Here's what I came up with for the Nuno patch... hope ya dig. PS, you're going to need an IR Play block and load up Leon Todd's MP1 impulse response/tone match, whatever ya call it

Hope ya dig. Cheers!!!
