I had a few reports of some presets not importing. It turns out that the file size was '0'. They are getting corrupted during the exporting process using the 'Preset Manage' tool in the editor. 10 to 20 presets at a time. I did notice that it sometimes took longer that it used to, and even got stuck a few times. It is very random?

I fixed the ones reported, then went through all of the zipped folders and found over a dozen more corrupted presets. Not sure if it's my computer, I am exceeding the number of presets allowed by this operation (used to do way more without issue?), or it's a bug in the editor.

These are the FM9 ones with one or more presets that were affected. I added a '.1' to the zipped folder name to differentiate them from the older ones.

Sorry for any inconvenience.

I had a report from a customer about issues with a couple of FM9 presets from the latest updated 3.00 versions.
  1. Comfortably Numb (HB) V2.5 'FM9' (3.00) - One of the IRs named in the Description doesn't match the IR included?
  2. Enter Sandman (HB) V2.2 'FM9' (3.00) - No sound in the (nc) versions?

1... One of the IRs in the Comfortably Numb (HB), and also the (SC) version, has been changed to be more in sync with the Axe-Fx III versions. The Cab block in the Presets themselves is using the intended User Cab slot, the 'Description' PDF is correct. But I forgot to swap out the correct IR with the one from the older version.

The new corrected versions are now in the store. The names were amended to differentiate them from the older incorrect versions.
  • Moke's Comfortably Numb V2.5.2 (HB) 'FM9' (3.00)
  • Moke's Comfortably Numb V2.5.2 (SC) 'FM9' (3.00)

2... The 'Volume' parameter in 'Volume block 1' in all three of the Enter Sandman (nc) versions was inadvertently left at '0.00' after removing the controller, resulting in no sound. You can simply set it to '10.00' in the (nc) version that you are using to restore the sound. Or get the revised versions from the store.

The new corrected version is now in the store. The name was amended to differentiate it from the older incorrect version.

Because of the Steve Vai 'Gift of Tone' effect blocks released today, I have received several requests to update my 'Moke's Live Vai Tone' for the latest 'Cygnus x2' firmware versions, to act as a base preset to try out Steve's effect blocks in context.

I went through all three Gen 3 platforms.

I changed the Whammy to just stay on in the Whammy scenes. My previous 'Golden Whammy' trick now has a bump sound during the transition that I have been unable to solve so far. I believe that the much improved latency is now so short that there is some phase cancellation happening during the 'mix' transition.

I also switched over to the 'Legend 100 II' Amp model for more accuracy. The original version of this preset used the 'CA3+ Lead' model as the older 'Legacy' models from the Gen 2 units didn't work for me. This amp model is still included with the preset in Channel 'B' of the Amp block.

Reordered the scenes a bit too. As well as some other tweaks here and there.

My band had to pass up a last minute weeknight private gig because our drummer just couldn't make on such short notice. I offered it up to a good friend's band (Trainwreck 80s Band) who's bass player had other commitments.

So, I offered to sit it using my 'Bass Simulation' preset, FM9, EBMM Axis guitar, and 8" Headrush monitors. I quickly learned the bass parts of 24 songs (two sets) as best as I could in one night, and went for it.

Here are some short clips recorded directly from the mixer that kind of highlight the bass. Sounds like a bass to me.. LOL

B.T.W., I was using firmware 5.00 but with the same Legacy cabs. Wanted to mess with some Dyna-Cab fun, but just didn't have time. Also, their guitarist was using an Axe-Fx III/FC-12 rig. Everything direct. The only mics where for vocals.
