I finally had some time to get started on porting some of my presets over to the FM9! Firmware 1.00

This first batch includes all of my current 'General Multi-Purpose' presets. These are a bit of a hybrid between the FM3 and Axe-Fx III version. The only ones that I can hear a small difference in, are the 'Bass Sim' presets. Only because the Axe-Fx III 'Virtual Capo' is noticeable better.

Hopefully the FM9 will get the same Pitch block update soon... :cool: EDIT... The FM9 Pitch block is now on par with the Axe-Fx III

Since I had my Strat out while working on the Single-Coil version of my 'General Multi-Purpose' presets, I decided to do all 14 of my current Single-Coil 'Artist/Song Specific' presets next.

Most of the FM9 versions will end up with a grid layout that is a bit of a hybrid between the FM3 and Axe-Fx III version. Depending on available CPU, the grid layout of a few will be closer to the FM3 versions, and a few will be closer the the Axe-Fx III versions. But all will have had every parameter of every block completely gone through for conversion errors, and then sonically tested and tweaked against the Axe-Fx III versions.

I added 8 'Humbucker' versions of my "Artist' FM9 presets to the store... firmware 1.00 'Cygnus'.

Only 3 of my current Axe-Fx III presets left to work out (if possible) for the FM9. A couple won't fit so far, and one has an issue with the Amp model being very different than the Axe-Fx III version??? Maybe the next firmware will get them back in sync?

It took a bit of thinking to figure out how to get it to fit, but I got it. It's missing a couple of the 'over the top' extras that are in the Axe-Fx III version. But the 'meat and potatoes' and all 7 scenes are there.

The only existing preset that has still not been added to the Axe-Fx III, FM9, or FM3 is my 'Wish You Were Here' preset. The transport controls (Play, Rec, Stop, etc...) have still not been opened to modifiers.

Not sure that it will ever happen, but here is the old wish thread if you want to give it a bump.

This was used to automatically play the loop of the opening section of the song when selecting the scene for the next (over-dubbed) section. Otherwise, it is a tough 'tap-dance' to hit the 'Play' command, then switch to the next scene within the time allowed.

Just a heads up...

Among other things, the re-worked Drives have a new parameter (High Mid). That new parameter loads with a value of '0.00' on any preset made before that addition. The new default after resetting any Drive model is '5.00'.

Until I get them all updated, I recommend using the 'Batch Setter' function in the Editor to set all channels, of all Drive block instances, of all your older presets, to '5.00' as a quick fix.
