Here's a video of me demonstrating the Ace IR's of this upcoming Cab Pack. Enjoy!

Here's the first official clip for ML Dizzy:

EDIT:

Finally I had a chance to start my early stage tests with the "Dizzy" cab. Here's what I got with about 30min of miking:

Original post:

Long story short I purchased this cab a few months ago and I've been dying to tell you about it. :)

This Cab Pack is based on a Diezel 4x12 but not just any Diezel. This one is an original German made sealed enclosure (you can not remove a back panel because there is no back panel) with front loaded G12K100 speakers, just the way it was originally intended. Not to be mistaken for the US made cabs carrying the same name. This cab is unique for many reasons like f.ex. the grill cloth is removable for more versatility. Essentially I can place mics way closer than on most cabs. Also the sound is different with the cloth on and off.

I suggest everyone to take a moment to read a little bit about this cabinet (or at least enjoy the amazing pictures engaging GAS gear porn) to fully understand what it's about: http://powerdragon-powerdragon.blogspot.com/2014/03/diezel-4x12-front-loaded-cabinet.html

I'm so excited I'm sure I'll post clips and tests during the shoot process for feedback and all that. I loved how Cab Pack 7 came to be in a thread where the IR shoot process was almost a group effort of this community. I can only hope this turns into something similar.

Please ask any questions you may have regarding this pack. :)

I've been mulling over whether to buy CabPack 13 or 19 for weeks now. This just complicated that decision, in a good way.
This will take some time to be released. :)

They're all different sounding. I think Cab Pack 19 has the most versatility with two radically different cabs.

Cab Pack 13 is what I use the most. I still cry myself to sleep for selling the real cab.

This Dizzy is something completely new. It's just ridiculously fat. I'm very excited to experiment and take my time with this one.

Yeees!! It has the fat beefs in it. I'll keep you guys posted about the shoot and post clips as I go. I really like the mean fatness that Irotlas got with his quick SM57 positions on each of the four speakers. Once again you'll notice that even these four K100s in the same cab sound completely different to one another. :)

I gotta think that the amp choice wasn't the right match. K100s sound great, but those clips are honestly terrible. What amp were y'all using?

Oh that's weird. I didn't think it was too bad for some quick SM57 Recto sounds. I actually got a promising vibe for something really agressive once I start doing the official mic ups. It's a real Mesa Roadster into the Diezel so maybe the bass is too much for you. :) I haven't personally miked the cab yet.

Yeah, the bass to me was a bit muddy and lacked definition. I've personally had great luck with the 5153 and K100s. I've also experimented with blending in a V30 alongside the K100 and that helped add some bite to the overall sound. I'm sure once you get to shooting the IRs yourself, they'll turn out great.

Yeah I think you may be right about the lack of tightness there and thank you for the feedback. I have access to some of the greatest V30s I've shot so I might go for it since you guys have already asked for it multiple times. :) X pattern for interesting alloy IR's or two full cabs... both?

I really want to take my time with this pack. I want to do it properly so that I don't have to revisit it again soon. That most likely forces the V30 as well.

This is exactly what I hoped for. Now you guys are a part of the process. :)

Honestly we have a ton of V30 cabs so make a dizzy pack with just the K100 first and then shoot it with the V30's if you really want lol. Idk man that's just me.

You take too long busting out IR's these days, by the time they get released I went somewhere else and hating you for it!:D

Doing all 4 speakers of the K100s and then the V30 alone, then mix the two would be awesome. Im also with the above, we already have enough V30s.

That speaker is like adding another Marshall amp...

Real talk bro, if you started doing other speaker combinations you would destroy.
I know you like to keep it original and thats cool, but a wider range and its yours for the taking.

Feedback is highly appreciated! Please keep it coming.

Although I've always done cabs that I'm personally interested in ML has become something way bigger than I could've ever imagined. Having my childhood guitar heroes use my IRs is one thing but being in contact with them and hearing them analyze my work is when I pinch myself. :D

I am a teaser for sure. The delay is because of "soon" meaning that the IR's are being tested through multiple beta phases to ensure a premium product. Truth be told I'm working on 7-8 packs right now but I have to be very careful with my information. I'm happy I can openly talk about this pack and the 2x12 USA/Citrus packs. :)

What childhood guitar heroes do you speak of? I would love to know if its not top secret.

Well we're talking about FAS artists. There are official and unofficial ones. Apart from the obvious ones on the official FAS roster I don't like using people's names and break possible collaboration/customer privacy rules in public. Every time I mention someone's name I've asked permission to do so. :)
