Just got an email a few hours ago; big news for those of us who are running 64-bit DAW's and don't want to deal with a bit-bridge.

Hello,

We've added a few new formats to our mixIR2 convolution plug-in:
•64-bit VST support on Windows
•RTAS support for OSX and Windows
The new formats are available at no additional charge.

So, if you are running a VST-compatible, 64-bit digital audio workstation (DAW), you can now run the mixIR2. OSX users will still be able to run the mixIR2 in a 64-bit DAW, just like before and 64-bit Windows users can now join in the fun.

Now that mixIR2 has RTAS support, all you Pro Tools users out there can run it natively. No more VST-RTAS adapter. We are supporting Pro Tools 9 and 10 on Intel machines.

There is now a separate installer for the 32-bit and 64-bit versions and for VST, AU, and RTAS formats. We broke out the IR Starter Library into a separate installer, as well. So, new mixIR2 users will probably want to install their plug-in format of choice and then install the Starter IR Library that comes with the plug-in.

If you are installing the Windows 64-bit mixIR2 VST, then please uninstall or delete the 32-bit version first. You should not have both versions accessible to your DAW. Doing so may cause your 64-bit DAW to load the 32-bit plug-in or your 32-bit DAW to load the 64-bit plug-in. If you experience crashes or freezes while using the plug-in, then this version incompatibility is likely the cause. You should be fine with both versions on a single machine, if you have one VST folder just for your 32-bit DAW and another for your 64-bit DAW.

It's taken a while, but along the way we've added many performance improvements, so we hope it was worth the wait.

Thanks for all your support.

Have fun.
