Mixing heavy guitars

Hi guys,

I hope you're all well!

I've just put out a new video on YouTube showing how I mix heavy guitars. I've had a few requests for this from comments on there and here on the fractal forums so I hope this is of some help to some of you.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy it and thank you as always for the support!

Cheers,
Justin

Justin,

Very useful informative stuff, I look forward to seeing how you approach making a drum track.
I know you have preferred plugins but it would be ideal if you could use open source free plugins where possible.

Hey man,

Thank you very much for watching and for your feedback!

I'll take that on board and I think I will make two videos, one showing what I use and another with stock or free plugins and then hopefully that helps more people!

Thanks again

well done and informative, excellent use of the EQ to clean up the trouble frequencies and carve a nice spot for the guitars. And good use of compression to keep the levels more controlled.
