Any ideas on how to mimic this pedal using the Axe Fx and MFC? Desiring momentary setting if possible.
 
Just use a whammy and attach the control knob to a momentary switch instead of an expression pedal. In your mfc you have to assign a footswitch to one of the external controller CCs of the axe fx.
Play with the damping parameter to get the right ramp up speed, I think 100-150ms should work well.
