MIDI In Light Question on Software Update

Hi. I have an Ultra with version 5.12 software. I'm trying to upgrade to 5.23. I just bought a MIDISport 2x2 and the MIDI cables. As far as I can tell, everything is hooked up right.

When I try to download the 5.23 software to the AxeFx, the MIDI In light on the front does not light up. The Firmware screen simply says "Awaiting File" and never indicates that it's receiving any data. The MIDI out channel on the MIDISport lights up indicating that data is going out, but the AxeFx doesn't seem to recognize it.

Should the MIDI In light always light up when sending data? Could someone please tell me if there's a "trick" to getting the AxeFx to recognize the data coming in?

Are you using the Editor or another Librian?
You will want to verify that your midisport is recognised as the midi device. In the editor, it's under options.
 
Using The Axe-fx editor:
Make sure the sysex ID is the same on the software and the axe-fx. (127 on the Axe-fx)

That was it. I finally figured that out after hours of trial and error.
