Midi data from DAW to AXE FX 3 Midi Out

I am using Ableton Live 10. From a MIDI track I have output as Axe FX3 Midi Out. However the midi data from the DAW is not going thru the AXE FX midi out.
The AXE FX is connected to the DAW using a USB cable.

Depending on what you are trying to accomplish you might get what you want via the THRU port using 5 pin DIN.

Thru is hardwired to midi in... So USB midi will not be going there, either.
