MFC101 on its way! (arrived)

Re: MFC101 on its way!

Just pulled the trigger today!!! :D Don't want to wait anymore considering I got on the list 4/24/10. My Behringer with the Uno chip just isn't cutting it!!!!

Re: MFC101 on its way!

MFC tested and programmed in 10 mins, works like a charm! :)
However I noticed one thing, could be a bug or lack of my midi knowledge.
Anyways, when I calibrate my Mission pedals on MFC I get 000 for minimum value
but I can't go pass 116-117 for maximum value.
Weird thing is, both Whammy and Wah on expression 2 work ok
as I get full range on modifier.
Same goes for expression 1 that controls Output 1 volume, at toe position I get 100% of volume
and heel position is dead silent.
Am I missing something or?

Man I love this controller! :)

Re: MFC101 on its way!

Mine arrives today!!! :D Sadly I won't be able to play for the next two weeks because I accidentally drove the tip of a drill through my fret hand ring finger tip!!! I can feel my heart beat in my finger tip now!!! So I'll just set it up and wait to heal. The last time I hurt one of my fret hand fingers I was a gigging musician. I slashed my index finger to the bone on a fillet knife cutting bait on a rough day of fishing. I had to play with my middle, ring and pinky for over two months. Needless to say those fingers especially the pinky got super strong and adaptive from playing pretty hard cover tunes VH, etc. People who watch me play now comment on how frequently I use my pinky. The injury was over 20 years ago. It just stuck.

No, that's just how it is calibrated to the MFC. Notice you get full range of expression values in the Axe-FX; you just set up the expression pedal to work correctly with your MFC is all.

I will have two Mission EP-1 pedals tho, one for Output 1 volume and another one
for Wah/Whammy (this one is with spring).

Does the spring option work well for auto-engage wah/whammy?

I've just ordered one of the EP-1 with "spring" just to dedicate to wah/whammy

Great, thanks for clearing it up Scott. :)

Couldn't be more happy to be honest.
I used Morley Bad Horsie for a long time and spring for Wah is something I got used to,
not to mention how easy it is to toggle between ON and OFF.
OK, you can't put it at certain position and leave it there but that's life!
But I have found it even better for Whammy,
I had Digitech Whammy before and few times I had real problems on stage,
I put it on bypass but I accidentally press it a little bit without noticing
so when I turn off bypass...ouch...out of tune. :)

Amazing playing as usual. It will take more than the MFC to make me play that well. :)

Muris, one thing you may want to do is instead of linking your volume pedal to the Output Volume is link it to a volume block BEFORE delay and/or reverb blocks (if you're using them)...this way when you back the volume completely off the delay and reverb tails will naturally diminish instead of being cut off by the volume pedal. :)

Oh, it's not problem, I don't use that pedal for volume swells and such,
it's just for adjusting general level just like fader on mixer, nothing else.
Otherwise yeah, I would need to put it before effects or to control input volume instead. :)
