Bug? MFC MK3 Firmware 3.08 Name timeout with XL+ on Fw Q3.02

MFC MK3 Firmware 3.08 gets confused, Name timeout with XL+ on Firmware Q3.02 :(

Problem occurs when switching patches on MFC with or without AxeEdit running, USB connected all the time.
 
Can you elaborate on "confused"? Is it happening intermittently or all the time?

Name Timeout usually means a problem with settings, cable, or the MFC port of your Axe-Fx.
 
I'm connected with the Rj45 cable.
The problem is intermittent, it failed twice earlier today, but is fine now.
When the problem occurs the expression pedals no longer function and the preset name on the MFC is blank. The Preset number is still visible on the MFC until i continue to press preset buttons then i get the MFC's time out message. A simple unplug and replug the mfc's RJ45 and its happy until it fails again.
 
Have you tried another rj45 cable?

If not, then it has been mentioned before that the actual port can be a bit 'flaky' as strictly speaking they aren't very robust - i.e. pins/connectors easily damaged throught repeated plugging and unplugging.

Can you swap to using a midi cable or faslink?
