MFC Mark II with Original AXE FX II ??

Can I use the new mark II MFC board with my original Axe FX II. I see the new MFC has an "Ethercon" jack is it compatible with the original Axe FX II that doesn't have the "Ethercon" jack? My wait list number came up and I want to buy it but I just wanted to make sure the are compatible. Would you just use a regular RJ-45 cable instead of a Ethercon cable? Can the original Axe FX II be upgraded to the ethercon connector?

Yes you can still use a normal Ethernet cable.
No the original plug can not be replaced with a Ethercon plug.

You can also get cables with normal RJ45 in 1 end and Ethercon in the other end.

The ethercon plug is just a normal RJ45 plug with a shield around.
