MFC expansion?

What a great midi controller. I am loving the MFC so far and have found it to have very powerful capabilities.

Looking at the latest firmware, my guess is that there will be an expansion for the MFC at some stage comprising another lot of IA switches (4 rows x 5) and possibly an inbuilt XP pedal/s.

Has there been any official news or mentions of possible expansion modules yet?
 
A couple weeks ago somebody asked how you'd connect an expansion if you were using a Cat5 from the AxeII to the MFC, and FractalAudio answered that you'd connect the cable from the AxeII to the expansion, then a short Cat5 from the expansion to the main board.

That's as close to official confirmation as I've seen..
 
Cool. I'm not going to push any further for info though - Fractal has enough on their plate right now.
Whenever it is released, I'm sure it will be awesome.

By the way, I love Cat5... I am even going to use the Cat5 routing ports in my office and run between rooms to change presets.
 
From page 1 of MFC Manual:

* "A planned optional expansion module will increase the number of onboard switches to 41"
