MFC-Edit communication with MFC-101 via Axe-Fx III

I am not able to send or receive data between MFC-Edit and my MFC-101 via Axe-Fx III. For example, to do a backup, I have the following setup

MFC-101 Midi OUT -> Axe-Fx III Midi IN
and
Axe-Fx III USB to Windows 10 laptop

MFC-Edit sees the Axe-Fx III Midi and I can select it as my communication channel. When I start the transfer, the MFC-101 shows that it is sending, but nothing happens in MFC-Edit.

The process works flawlessly with my Axe-Fx II XL+, so I'm sure I must be missing a setting or something. Any ideas?

Axe Fx III doesn't support that.

You'll need some sort of midi interface to your computer.

Like the midi sport UNO...

Ok, cool - I have one of those. I didn't realize the III didn't support the functionality. Thanks for saving me more hours of headscratching and troublshooting something that doesn't exist.
