MFC-101 (first edition) and Axe Fx II XL+

Hey guys!

Perhaps a noob question, but...

I got a good offer on a MFC-101 controller. Not the Mark III or Mark II. I think this is the first edition of MFC-101 pedals that came out on the market...
Now for my question. Will it work with an Axe FX II XL+ or do I need a Mark III? Any other things I need to consider? What are the main differences?

Yes, I used adapter before and worked very smooth without any problems

I'm not sure how you would. The MFC supports FASLink and the Axe Fx III only supports FASLink 2.

How do you use the MFC 101 mark3 to access preset banks? Like to be able to go to a bank quickly and not have to scroll through them. i.e. set up a single switch to activate a song, call it "My private jewels" song. then when I go to that song, it loads a specific bank of presets such as preset 001, 045, 200, 205 etc. That way during a live set, I can access specific songs with presets, scenes and be ready to play.
