MFC-101 Axe-II Axe-Edit, effects don't change in Axe-edit when engaged on MFC-101

I recently sent my MFC-101 and Axe-Fx II to Fractal for repair. The ethernet jack got messed up. Anyway, they were able to repair it quickly and sent it back. Everything seems to be working normal. When I have Axe-edit open, it will Pause when I switch patches which seems to work fine. However, I have noticed that when I press any effect it's no longer reflected as such in axe-edit. I used to be able to either use axe-edit of the MFC-101 to engage or bypass effects. I had to do a factory reset on the MFC-101 before I sent it in as part of the trouble shooting but I feel like there might have been a setting that I don't remember. Anyone know?

It’s been a while but is it TotalSync?

Yes, TotalSync is on. It's weird that it will reflect preset changes but no any of the effects.
