Metallica tonematches/patches extravaganza v2.0!

ALLLLLLLRIGHTY!!
Here is the almighty Black Album!
It worked out just great.
In order to get close to the album sound you need to double/triple/quad track your guitars.
I did one left, one right and one in the middle.
This gets you scary close.
I was also very surprised at how well the clean into to sandman worked out.
It sounds like a gretsch or something but I just used my EMG60 neck pick-up.
Ik hop you all enjoy these tones as much as I do!
It's crazy close, scary close!
Check the sounds here:

I'm just going to continue through the rest of the discography including garage Inc. etc.
If you have any cool metallica tones that you would like to have tonematched send me a link or even better, an mp3 or wav snippet of the exact part you would like to have tonematched.
I already have the master tracks from all the guitar hero stuff.
But maybe cool live tones or rare versions of songs.
I would love to do some live tonematches from metallica.
The problem is finding parts where you only hear the one guitar you are trying to tonematch.
Anyhow, fun stuff this is!

Thanks again for your great work. I have been having a blast with these patches using my iron cross esp and my custom hammett kh-2 vintage guitar.

Call this a crazy question but is there a way in the axe to double up a guitar like i do in my recording software?

In another thread I made a patch to replicate the current James Hetfield live tone.
I thought I'd share it here to have everything in one thread.

Ok, I pretty much nailed James' live tone right here!
You are going to need the ThisOneV30 IR, I added this one as an attachment.
Listen to it here:

note, this patch was made with and for guitars with EMG pick-ups.
It will probably still sound good with passive pick-ups though.
Feel free to edit and share any changes/tweaks you've made.

I should somehow send them to Metallica. It would probably be interesting for them to play their old album tones.
I'm going to do more patches this weekend.
Looking forward to the load and reload stuff, love those albums and tones!

Ok, so I just realised that I forgot to do Nothing Else Matters.
I never thought it would be possible to do an accurate match of this legendary intro, this because of the guitar used and other variables.
I think he used a gretsch if I'm not mistaken.
Anyway, so the tonematch came out really well, incredibly well...
I designed this patch for my guitar with an EMG81 in the bridge and an EMG60 in the neck and I used the middle position.
Keep this in mind when trying the patch with other guitars.
The middle position of a humbucker guitar is advised and preferably with EMG's to get the best results.
My quick performance isn't flawless, but it does demonstrate how well clean sounds can be matched, just amazing!
Enjoy!
