Metallica - Black Album 30 Year Anniversary + KH Lead Preset


Crazy to think the Black Album is now 30 years old... The whole album obviously sounds great. Of course most of you know Mr. Hetfield and his Boogie's were a big part of the monstrous rhythm tone, but Kirk's lead tone on the album is also phenomenal. I'm guessing the TS9 through the Purple Marshall 1959 SLP was his go-to for leads, although I don't doubt that there were other components playing a part. I've cooked up a preset that sounded good to my ears. Here is me playing Kirk's solo from "The God that Failed". I've also attached my preset below. Cheers :) Diego
