Metal/Djent Tone Advice? - Part 3 (Hopefully the last!)

Three ten second clips.
As suggested by you awesome folks, I tightened up the low end a little bit and brought it up to about 130Hz instead of 50Hz. My friend also suggested quad tracking, so I threw that in there as well!

0-10 seconds: my tone from the "Metal/Djent Tone Advice - Part 2" thread.
10-20 seconds: The same tone, but with the PEQ shelf cutting up to about 130Hz instead of 50Hz.
21-31 seconds: The new 130Hz cut tone, quad tracked.

Let me know what you think! Better? Worse? Any more advice? I hope I'm getting closer!

Using:
TS808 MOD Drive > PEQ > FAS Modern amp > "Cab Pack 7" Cab Lab mix

EDIT: Turns out the first tone is still voted the best so far, I forgot about some other PEQ changes I made, too. I think "ear fatigue" got me on this one. Dangit.

I still like the first clip the most.

Are you recording 4 times for the quad tracking, or copying and pasting?

Was raising the PEQ cutoff the only thing you changed in the 2nd clip?

Man, listening to it again, I do like the first one better. Thinking back on it, there were a few other minor EQ changes that I changed from after recording to before the recording.(example: a mid boost that was done in my DAW, I added to the AXE FX II PEQ instead.)

Ahhhh back to the drawing board. XD

At least I still have both tones!

I was recording four times. See my above comment about PEQ changes though, you reminded me I did actually make a few other adjustments. :p
