OK here's something that I told I'll do..

I did not make an IR pack (yet) of the Harley Benton v30 cab but here is two single sm57 impulses, one near the cone and one really edge position, and those two mixed.

I also tonematched and compared Mark IV head to axe fx usa lead+ model and tried to match the settings. This clip shows how close it is. Remember no two amps sounds exactly the same.

No ToneMatching in this clip, settings are just eye+ear matched as close as possible and they are like 99% the same in both. This just shows how accurate modeling we have!!!

You guys tell me wich one is axe fx and the actual amp. IR in that clip is the mix IR.

ToneMatch curve shows that some sub low end is missing in axe fx model but otherwise it's pretty flat!

Duding by my lousy comp speakers, there's a spike/fizz in the first clip that's missing in the second. Besides that, they sound alike indeed.

I can't tell what part is of the axe/real, but i like the first one best. The second sounds like the mic was pushed too much or something...

Anyway: thanks for the work and the IR

I should have said in my first post that they do sound super close and it won't be a surprise either way when it is relieved which is which.

Also, I really like the "near the cone" IR. Thanks again (really looking forward to the Amp-Match patches of the Mark IV ;)).

The point of that comparison clip was that do we even need amp-match at all? I mean the tonematch curve was basicly flat and settings were same ;) . I have to find a way to post pictures again :D

Anyone thinks that this cab is better than the Mesa, at least according to the IR's?
Or do you recommend a combination of the TEH Mesa IR's to get a rounded tone like this? When I switch btw. this cab and the Mesa, I find it lifeless and fizzy.
And Irotlas, may I want the preset again? I love the Mark IIC+ and IV, but I cannot get along with the complex EQ of it. Your sound is awesome and it would give me a nice starting point (or the end point) :)

I don't have my axe fx at home now but I can give you the settings...

All I know is that the best Mesa Mark patches I have ever tried (by far) are the Amp-Matches posted by Dimebucker of his Mark IV. I also always liked the Amp-Match patches posted a couple years of all the channels of a Mark V. So I'm always on the look out for Amp-Match patches, there just seems to be something extra special in the way they sound.
